Vineyards & Orchards
Finding the Right Place
From Coast to Mountains
Our vineyards and orchards tell diverse stories of California terroir and beyond. A historic Baco Noir vineyard thrives among the redwoods on the Sonoma Coast, while hybrid varieties flourish at 5,500 feet in Nevada’s Carson Range, pushing the boundaries of where wine grapes can grow. Our old-growth apple orchards, some nearly a century old, persist without irrigation in western Sonoma County, producing complex fruit for our heritage ciders.
Rooted in Resilience
Native and hybrid grape varieties can be grown with far fewer chemicals and inputs. This means safer vineyards for workers, living soils for future generations, deeper roots and cleaner watersheds, and wines free from chemical residues. These vines work in harmony with our climate rather than fighting against it. They resist mildews naturally, and adapt to our changing environment.
These resilient grapes offer solutions to the challenges facing modern viticulture while producing wines that are distinctly, authentically American.
